Ron Klinger, Ph.D., President
Center for Successful Fathering
13740 Research Blvd, Suite L-2
Austin, TX 78750

Dear Ron:

It was a pleasure to meet with the board of the Center on Saturday. I was impressed and encouraged by the commitment of the board members to the mission and purpose of CSF. Their support for the business plan presented by Eric and their willingness to devote the time and effort required to become a strong governing board bodes well for the future of CSF.

Ron, the improvement that has occurred in the operation of CSF since our fist meeting on July 25, 2003 is simply remarkable. The new administrative structure, budget and fiscal controls are very well designed. Their implementation has already resulted in significant improvement to the financial condition of the Center and they provide the essential foundation for implementation of your five-year business plan. During my thirty years in the human services field I have seen the need for programs that help fathers connect with their children and feel confident that your new three-part series, Fathering for Life, will be very well received.

I look forward to working with the Center to ensure that the board has the skills and policy structure needed to effectively govern the organization as it grows and expands its reach to fathers throughout the state and the nation.

Sincerely,

Richard C. Alvarado
