CSF’s Fathering for Life Initiative gains approval from benefactor
Aggressive 5 year plan to improve the lives of children in Texas garners $60,000 supporting grant.

Austin, TX, January 29th: The founder of the Center for Successful Fathering, Dr. Ron Klinger, was delighted to hear that the board of the Rockwell Fund has approved still another grant to the Center for Successful Fathering. “The support of a foundation like the Rockwell Fund means that they agree we are on the right track to help children across Texas and America. The strength of our plan recently won us $50,000 from the Webber Foundation to complete the curriculum for the first part of Fathering for Life, Preparing for Successful Fathering.” In fact, the Center for Successful Fathering has won $140,000 in grants in the last 4 months.

The $60,000 grant will help cover operating and administrative expenses for 2004. “We were fortunate to have just completed a partial audit of 2003 that helped expedite our request for funding. That and an aggressive plan to change the lives of children for the better really got our friends at the Rockwell fund excited, “said Eric Whitfield” who was told of the award when visiting their offices in Houston this week.

The Fathering For Life Initiative is a series of “Awareness Level” and “Train Other Trainer” programs that give professionals who work with families a proven model that is effectively increases the numbers of fathers truly involved with their children. Research has shown, over and again, that crime and education problems and social ills go up with uninvolved dads and are reversible when dads reconnect with their children.
