“Fathering For Life” Curriculum Gets Approval from the Webber Family Foundation
Webber stays committed to the Mission of the Center for Successful Fathering
Austin, TX, November 14th: The Center for Successful Fathering announced today the receipt of another grant, the second in as many months. The $50,000 grant from the Webber Family Foundation provides dedicated funds to help Dr. Ron Klinger and the Center for Successful Fathering develop its most comprehensive fathering curriculum ever. Titled the “Fathering for Life” series, the three part series will contain three modules focusing on training fathers and trainers of fathering on the skills, attributes and challenges needed by fathers of children ages 0-6, 7-12 and 13-18. Each part is subtitled “Preparing for Successful Fathering”, “Providing Successful Fathering” and “Passing along Successful Fathering” respectively.
The Center for Successful Fathering has learned the most effective teaching methods to get fathers connected to their children and to learn the gifts of successful fathers. This work has been done primarily by Dr. Ron Klinger through his practice as a psychologist in the Austin area and as the founder of the Center for Successful Fathering. To date over 100,000 fathers and their children have participated in programs presented by the Center for Successful Fathering.
The Center for Successful Fathering provides highly effective programs like Bonding Through Play and Accepting the Challenges of Fatherhood both in video and curriculum formats to governmental agencies like Head Start and school districts across America. Most materials are available in English and Spanish. Dr. Klinger’s first book, The Common Sense, No-Frills, Plain-English Guide to Being a Successful Dad is in its third printing with over 8,000 copies sold.
