CENTER FOR SUCCESSFUL FATHERING RECOGNIZES
DISABILITY AWARENESS MONTH BY BECOMING MORE ACCESSIBLE.
Austin, Texas, October 3, 2004
Disabled web surfers who try the website for the Center for Successful Fathering (www.fathering.org) will find significant improvement beginning October 3rd, 2004. The Center for Successful Fathering was one of about 20 nonprofits to benefit from the Accessibility Internet Rally (AIR) on Saturday, October 02, 2004 sponsored by the Austin based nonprofit, Knowbility.
Trademark Media, an Austin firm specializing in marketing and web design, volunteered to help a nonprofit and was teamed up with the Center for Successful Fathering for the event. Trademark Media President, Nick Weynand, says his team has redesigned the fathering.org website and made it much more user friendly, especially for users with disabilities. According to him, “When people log onto the Center for Successful Fathering now they are going to find it much easier to navigate.”
Eric Whitfield, Executive Director of the Center for Successful Fathering said, “We are delighted to have a team of professionals like Nick, Mike and Dave give us such a great looking and highly usable website. It wouldn’t have happened, of course, without the great folks at Knowbility who put it all together.”
Knowbility is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve access to technology opportunities for children, youth and adults with disabilities. They have won local and national honors for excellence and innovation from the Peter F. Drucker Foundation, the Department of Labor, and the White House. On Wednesday, September 28th, they were recognized with a “Best of Austin” recognition from the Austin Chronicle.
The Center for Successful Fathering is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Austin Texas. For more information contact Eric Whitfield, Executive Director.
