
Course Title Fathering for Life: Preparing for Successful Fathering
Prerequisite Must own Preparing for Successful Fathering curriculum set
Length 2 days . Date Fall , 2007. Next Training of Trainers in the use of the Preparing for Successful Fathering Curriculum will be Fall, 2007( Wednesday-Thursday) in Austin, TX. THe cost for the 2 day training is $400.00 per participant.

Class Size 18-30 people, (consider sending male/female pairs who will work together)
Purpose This 2 day program is for those who want to run the best Father Involvement programs they can. Dr. Ron Klinger, author of the curriculum Preparing for Successful Fathering, will train participants on the curriculum and the most effective strategies to get and keep dads involved. This model will train participants how to get and keep dads involved with their children based on the proven successes of hundreds of programs delivered by CSF staff over many years. CSF’s ToT (Train other Trainers) model will develop regional resource teams to deliver the Preparing for Successful Fathering curriculum at the local level.
Objectives
- Content Mastery -Participants will experience and learn the Preparing for Successful Fathering instructional model, and be able to identify its components and key concepts.
- Facilitator Skills - Participants will learn effective strategies to implement the Preparing for Successful Fathering instructional model and the technique
- Assessment - Participants will self-assess current organizational practices that inhibit or curtail father involvement.
- Plan - Participants will create a “Local Action Plan” to implement the Preparing for Successful Fathering curriculum in your community. Including:
- Father/Child programs
- Program recruitment
- Staff Awareness
- Mother Involvement
- Evaluation
Anticipated Results Participants will become trained fathering professionals able to deliver several programs per year to community action, head start, even start, schools, scouts, faith based, military, law enforcement, judicial and other organizations.
Cost $800 per participant - $400 if curriculum is already owned
